He used TikTok to post a video of where he found the Starbucks trash can and how he brought it home and put it away in his pantry. In the clip, Sacks is seen going through black garbage bags and showing the condition of the products, all sealed and visibly in good condition. When Sacks’ video went viral, one user shared the clip on Twitter with the caption: “A New York Starbucks closed and someone walking outside found a stack of trash bags filled to the brim with food, coffee and supplies. The idea that there isn’t enough to go around is a dangerous myth.” Many commented on the clip. One user commented: “I agree, but the laws are in place that if you give away food and people get sick, it’s at Starbucks and other stuff.” Posts this as a finger to the corporations but adds no real substance knowing this. Just like these union activists with 2+ employees who don’t create a labor peace deal but talk business shit. All gaslighting. Another person wrote: “All businesses should be required to donate perfectly good food that they are not using. The amount of waste in our current system is pretty sickening.”
