Watch This Fearless Man Bathing King Cobra In Viral Video, The Internet Is Shocked

Cobras are generally considered to be dangerous snakes. They are venomous and known for their potent neurotoxic venom, which can be lethal to humans if bitten.

Cobras, including the king cobra mentioned in the previous context, have the ability to inject venom through their fangs, and their bites can cause severe health complications, including paralysis and, in some cases, death, if not treated promptly with antivenom. But a man surpassed all fear, and here’s what he did.

A strange video has emerged on social media showing a guy fearlessly bathing a massive king cobra. The identity of the man remains unknown. The undated video shows the man bathing his pet snake in his bathroom without fear or discomfort.

Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Service officer, shared the terrifying video on X.
”King cobra bathing. Snakes have skin to protect and keep themselves clean, which they shed on a regular basis. So what’s the point of playing with fire?” he wondered as he shared the footage.

The video has received over 10,000 views and dozens of comments since it was posted on X. Some questioned the unnecessary deed, while others applauded the snake handler’s bravery and lack of fear. Others were taken aback by the strange sight.

Why is bathing snakes not a good idea?

Snakes, according to Reptile Craze, do not often need to be soaked or washed. The king cobra is the world’s longest snake and the most deadly.

Adult king cobras can grow to be 10 to 12 feet long and weigh up to 20 pounds. They can physically “stand up” and face a full-grown person in the eye, according to National Geographic. They can deliver enough neurotoxic in a single bite to kill 20 people.

How did people on the internet react?

One user provided the following insight: “Sometimes, when snakes are kept in captivity as pets in an enclosed space like a vivarium, they may experience difficulties shedding their skin completely. This could result in a small portion of old skin sticking to them, and it might be necessary for humans to assist in its full removal. However, it’s important to note that this isn’t the appropriate way to handle or bathe a snake.”

Another individual expressed their observation: “The man appears remarkably calm throughout the whole ordeal. I would deduce that the cobra no longer possesses its venom sac or fangs.”

A third commenter expressed concern: “Let’s hope that his reckless behavior doesn’t lead to dire consequences.”

A fourth commentator questioned the individual’s sanity: “Who is this person behaving so recklessly?”
