According to court filings, a naked guy who got into a confrontation with a Las Vegas Metropolitan police officer before taking the officer’s patrol vehicle and causing a serious wreck faces four charges.
Who was the man who fought naked with the police?
According to police, Clyde Cabulisan, 29, got into a confrontation with a responding officer, which included punching and hitting.
What exactly happened?
Kyle Even, a neighbouring driver, recorded the altercation on camera. He even stated that he spotted flashing lights and initially thought he was approaching an accident. Instead, he saw a naked man “casually” going down the street.
When and where did the incident occur?
The incident occurred at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday when police received a complaint about a naked guy on the road near Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive.
“You’ve got an officer and a naked man. “I expected him to be handcuffed and thrown to the ground,” Even said over the phone Wednesday morning. “The cop kind of seemed he was, like, protecting him from somebody coming through and hitting him.”
Even started recording as the two began arguing. But what happened next took his breath away, he said: the nude man was able to slip into the officer’s Ford F-150 patrol vehicle and drive away. “I was just glad the cop didn’t get run over,” Even went on to say. “It’s like real-life ‘Grand Theft Auto.'”
Why was the man naked?
Cabulisan was pursued by officers for more than five miles, according to police. He then jumped the centre line, drove into oncoming traffic, and ran a red light, colliding with and injuring the driver and passenger of a Ford Explorer.
According to authorities, a 34-year-old lady driving the Explorer and her 43-year-old male passenger suffered significant injuries and were sent to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit. According to Nexstar’s KLAS, the male passenger’s right side is paralysed, among other issues.
How did it end?
Cabulisan, who had also sustained serious injuries, was apprehended by police and sent to UMC. Cabulisan is charged with robbery, disobeying a peace officer and endangering people or property, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, and battery on a protected person, according to court documents.
