Before beginning her career as a playback singer in movies, KK tried to make ends meet by singing in hotels. She came to Mumbai in 1994 and started her career doing solo jungles for various commercials. KK reportedly sang over 3,500 jingles in 11 languages. KK rose to fame with the breakout anthem ‘Tadap Tadap’ from ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ in 1999 and has never looked back since. His debut album ‘Pal’ and the song ‘Yaaron’ still take fans on a nostalgia trip and make everyone emotional during their farewells from school and college.
