Kangana Ranaut reacted to a Priyanka Chopra video where she talked about pay parity in the B-town industry. Kangana claimed that she was the first actress to advocate for equal pay in the business, noting that many actresses still work on projects without money. She said that she was the only female performer to receive compensation comparable to male actors.

Kangana wrote on her Instagram Stories: “It’s true that women before me simply submitted to these patriarchal norms… I was the first to fight for pay parity and the most disgusting thing I faced while doing this is my contemporaries They offered to work for free on the very roles I was negotiating… I can confidently say that most A listers (females) make movies for free in addition to offering other favors because they fear the roles will end up with the right people. .. and then they slyly publish articles that are the highest paying ha ha…”
