A mom who called her adult sons “parasites” was able to effectively evict them from her house in a historic Italian court case. Discussions and debates over parental responsibilities, family dynamics, and legal rights have been spurred by this unusual and heated dispute.
Who Are The Mother And Her Sons?
In Italy, the 75-year-old woman desired her two adult children, one of whom was 40 years old and the other 42. The name of the family is not disclosed.
What Did This Italian Woman Do?
According to a court clerk cited by CNN, a Pavia court decided in favour of the mother, who had sued to have the two males, who were forty and forty-two, taken out of the house.
According to the publication, the mother claimed that the two sons were living in the family residence without making any financial contributions or helping to maintain the household, calling the boys “parasites” in court records.
Citing the Italian newspaper La Provincia Pavese, The Guardian stated that the mother had tried asking her boys to live independently multiple times, but the mother said that “neither of them wanted to.”
Where Did She File The Lawsuit?
Judge Simona Caterbi granted the Italian mother’s request for a favourable ruling after she filed the case in court.
The two kids have to vacate their mother’s home by December 18th, per the judge’s decision.
How Did Her Son Get Evicted From Home?
The mother was reportedly irate because her two sons refused to help out around the house and didn’t contribute to the expense of living, according to the Italian news portal.
She decided to evict them through the legal system because she could not persuade them to begin a life of their own.
According to CNN, the mother, who has not been identified, filed a complaint at the Tribunal of Pavia district court alleging that her two sons, whom she had called “parasites” in court documents, had been residing in the family apartment without offering any assistance.
The court ruling from Tuesday, which CNN saw, states that the two “bamboccioni,” or big babies, have until December 18 to leave the property.
Judge Simona Caterbi sided with the retired mother, who is not in a relationship with the man’s father and whose pension was used exclusively for food and housekeeping.
