Matthew Perry, who gained worldwide recognition for playing the beloved character Chandler Bing on Friends, passed away on October 28. His fans were devastated and stunned by his passing.
On November 3, the actor’s co-stars David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc attended his burial. He was the most quick-witted, sardonic, and sometimes awkward member of the gang. In no time, he became a beloved character.
As a tribute to one of our generation’s favourite characters, an internet user has now developed an AI-powered chatbot of Chandler Bing.
Who created the AI chatbot of Chandler Bing?
Roshan Vadassery is the man behind the AI-powered chatbot of everyone’s favourite Friends character Chandler Bing. He even posted a video of the same on Instagram.
Why did he create the AI chatbot?
One of his fans questioned him in the video if he could create an artificial intelligence (AI) version of Chandler Bing because their mother loved the show: “Can you create Chandler’s AI? My mother still watches at least one episode of Friends every day because she is such a huge fan.”
The user said, “She looks so quiet from the last few days.” That is when Vadassery made the decision to develop the chatbot. In a Chandleresque manner, he asked the bot if he could be more caustic.
In his own voice and manner, the AI chatbot responds, “Well, could I be more sarcastic? I suppose I could, but then I’d have to bill you more for an upgraded sarcasm.”
“The father of memes, I still remember in the early days of fb pages it was all about sharing Chandler jokes or wholesome scenes from Monica and his relationship. We forgot that there was another person behind the character. A person who helped a lot of people with passion, and held a smile as long as he can,” Vadassery wrote in the caption.
How did people on the internet react?
The post has received 8,00,000 views and 9,000 likes since it was shared.
“Hey, I gave it a try. I’m crying as I write this because friends have changed me so much and I’m still not over his death. Thank you, it’s just so amazing. I hope this gets more shares,” a user commented.
Another said, “Bro, even though it’s AI, this made me cry way too hard. Thank you.”
A third individual said, “Dude… Bravo for your endeavors… I can’t even go a day without seeing my buddies… I still find it hard to believe he’s gone. But I cried so hard when I heard him again! We appreciate you bringing our Chan Chan man.
“You made me cry man, I’m crying rn and I’ll cry everytime I go and talk with our dear Chandler,” remarked a fourth individual.
