BRITs have lost their sex drive and are enjoying less bonks than in years past, according to a survey.

The typical adult now becomes passionate 21 times a year less than two years ago, and has sex less than once a week, it shows.

In 2020/21, we typically party 68 times a year, working at an average of 1.3 per week.

That dropped to 57 times in 2021/22 and an average of 1.1 per week.

That has now been reduced to being frisky just 47 times a year, a weekly average of just 0.9.

Alan Watkins, 34, a father of two, from Watford, Herts, said: “We got married in 2019 and had sex morning, noon and night, but I can count how often we’ve had sex in the last year on two hands. .

“Sometimes it gets you down, but I’m just as bad as my wife; we’re both so screwed up all the time.”

Analysts at Nature & Bloom, which conducted the survey, also found that people were looking online for help to liven things up in the bedroom.

They said Google searches for “dead bedroom” had skyrocketed 223 percent in the past year.

The term is used for couples who are going through a prolonged break in sexual activity.

A Nature & Bloom spokesperson said: “This suggests that many Britons are frustrated by the lack of sexual intimacy.

“The term informal refers to when couples experience a permanent or temporary lull in their sex life, which may mean having less sex than usual, intentionally avoiding sexual contact, or experiencing less pleasure than usual.”
