It is that time of the year once again when streets are lined up with gleaming colourful lights and every other neighbourhood has a pandal set up to honour the arrival of Goddess Durga. The festival of Durga Puja is widely celebrated across the country though the best showcases of the spirit of Durga Puja can be witnessed in West Bengal and some areas of Delhi.
Who Caught The Magnificent View Of The Pandal?
The glory of the festival was caught on camera by an X user Safir. The user was absolutely taken in by the beauty and creativity employed to come up with the idea behind the unique pandal design.
What Was Unique About The Pandal?
Safir was enamoured by the idea of the pandal design which was inspired by the city’s love for street food, particularly puchkas (golgappe for Delhiites and pani puri for Mumbaikars). The whole abode was covered in the iconic leaf plates that are used as utensils at any Puchka stall. There were also Puchkas enclosed inside glass cases that were used as wall hangings at the Pandal.
Moreover, the Goddess Durga statue was also set inside a big round globe likely emulating a puchka. The impressed Twitter user complimented the makers of the Pandal and wrote, “I am amazed at the depth of creativity in India. Here a whole pandal is made of puchkas with artists from Bengal. I wish to work in this area to highlight the rich creativity of India. Tala park. I love my India.”
