Bite-Mare! Swarm Of Mosquitoes Takes Over Plane In Mexico, Cabin Crew Fights Back With Sprays

Travelling by air used to be a fairly hassle-free commute option. At least in comparison to the lengthy waiting lists of domestic train systems or even long hours spent on the road while travelling by a four-wheeler.

However, it seems air travel has levelled up for all the wrong reasons recently. From unruly passengers to animals on board, videos from plane rides keep the internet entertained. This time around, a clip of a Mexican crew fighting off a swarm of mosquitoes on board is keeping the internet busy.

The insects swarmed onboard uninvited and left passengers irritated and perplexed. The cabin crew on the flight was seen battling the infiltration. A video now going viral on the internet shows how two members of the crew walked the aisle between the seats on the flight and used primitive tools to fight off the mosquitoes.

The cabin crew sprayed mosquito repellant all over the flight as passengers were heard cheering the attendants for taking initiative and fighting off the blood-sucking skeeters.

It is unclear, as of yet, why a swarm of mosquitoes infiltrated the Mexican flight. However, it was noted by local media that this was not the first time such a case had baffled passengers on a Mexican domestic flight.

Back in 2019, a similar mosquito infestation occurred on a Volaris flight. According to local media, the location of the airport is at fault in such a case. Reports pointed out that the area the airport is located in provides an ideal environment for “the proliferation of mosquitoes because it is located near areas with flooding and abundant vegetation, as well as some nearby bodies of water that are contaminated. It also has to do with weather conditions.”
